North Shore Antique Tractor & Engine Club show & Old time music jam
The club is dedicated to the preservation of a part of our heritage by promoting the collection, restoration and display of antique agricultural equipment.
And while enjoying some old time engines and tractor come listen or play to some old time tunes.
Banjos, fiddles, guitars, dobros, mandolins, hammered dulcimers, and any other instrument welcome.
Beginner and intermediate sessions will be held on site. Tunes played at the jams will include Angeline Baker, Soldier's Joy, Cripple Creek, Bill Cheathum, Old Joe Clark, Hop High Ladies, Mississippi Sawyer, and many more.
Baked beans, homemade bread and treats will be available for purchase across the street at the Denmark Community Hall.
Runs from 2- 4:30.
Fall events
Sept 6th Heritage Chroniclers Frank Patterson Day at The Sutherland Steam Mill
The purpose of the event is to commemorate & raise awareness of the importance of the contributions of local & Nova Scotian historians in chronicling regional history.
Frank Patterson was one of the best and produced many works of regional and provincial significance such as: “Acadian Tatamagouche and Fort Franklin”; “A history of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia” and many others.
His work is carried on by current authors and historians. The day will celebrate his legacy and feature contributions of living authors to Nova Scotia’s rich array of heritage literary and scholarly works.
Kids afternoon program

Readings from the fourth book in the Lemony Snicket series, “The Miserable Mill”.
Like in the book, all children will be provided with tour of the mill (minor physical labor expected) a lunch (one stick of gum and a glass of fresh water) and a FREE millstore coupon (redeemable for very little - In fact nothing at all)...well actually we’ll probably have cookies and juice too.
